Ready for a change? This could be the first day of the rest of your thinner life!

Surgery for weight loss has long been stigmatized as a last resort option for somebody who just couldn’t do exercise or change their eating habits to lower their weight. Of course this stigma comes from thin people. We are not all built the same way, and surely don’t live the same kind off life’s.

It’s easy to argument that being thin is a question of will power. That’s easy to say if you have a stress free life, time to cook and relax and take a couple of hours off every day to hit the Gym. You can’t get to that conclusion either if you take into account genetic make up and predisposition, and educational and cultural factors.

Did you know that of all the industrialized or 1st world countries, the U.S. diet, is by far, the unhealthiest?

For some people it is sometimes it’s just too hard and even impossible to lower their weight on a consistent basis. It take a lot of discipline and a lot of time to reduce significant body mass by exercising and dieting alone, which usually results in yo-yo diets which end up being worst most off the time.

Weight loss surgery has advanced so much in the past decade, that it has become a more frequent option for weight loss, as it delivers consistent weight loss for a longer time, resulting in better results, faster and in a safe manner.

Give yourself a better life. Take action today.

Travel Plans & Safety Tips

Every surgery is different and requires different travel plans. We recommend you arrive at the San Diego or Yuma Airport before 12.00 noon, that way we will be able to have all pre-op tests that same day and be ready for surgery on day 2 of your trip. Our driver and/or our patient facilitator will be there to greet you at your flights arrival gate. He will have a sign with your name on it. From there you will take the short 2 hour drive to Calexico, CA. We recommend planning your trip back on flights later but close to 2.00 pm when your will be dropped off at your airport. This is the most common way to plan this trip, but can be arranged otherwise if necessary. Please contact us for more detailed information or to see how we can assist you better with your travel plans and overall experience.

Gastric Bypass

In normal digestion, food passes through the stomach and enters the small intestine, where most of the nutrients and calories are absorbed. It then passes into the large intestine (colon), and the remaining waste is eventually excreted.

In a gastric bypass, the stomach is made smaller by creating a small pouch at the top of the stomach using surgical titanium staples. The smaller stomach is connected directly to the middle portion of the small intestine (jejunum), bypassing the rest of the stomach and the upper portion of the small intestine (duodenum).
